Has anyone had any issues taking in a tripod or monopod? Mine won't fit inside my backpack.

I brought a tripod in...several times with no problem.

I figured but wasn’t sure if y’all were bringing in supper-compact tripods that would fit inside a bag.

I've brought in a similar tripod like paloika posted... And it wasn't inside my backpack. Rather on the side of my backpack camera bag where it's designated to be held/mounted... No issues during the checkpoint before entering Disneyland... Might be different at WDW, though... Food for thought...

:)

I’ve taken a similar tripod to Paloika into both Disneyland and WDW strapped to my backpack and never a problem.

I wonder if the tripod rules take effect if someone starts to annoy others when using the tripod.

Wasn’t planning on staying this late tonight. I’ll take a tripod tomorrow night, we have a after-hours reservation at Oga’s, so hopefully it’ll really be cleared out by the time we get done there.

It boils down to the security guard that checks your bags and whether or not they know the rules. On the last day of my recent 4 day trip to DR, I encountered a security guard who wouldn't let us enter the resort because of the tiny GoPro stick I'd been using throughout the trip. After a supervisor was summoned, we were allowed to enter because the stick was less than 13" long.

Took a trip up to Disneyland yesterday with family. Might as well use the Imagine Magic Key while I've got it. :-)

Three weeks before we head back to WDW for 6 days of Christmas fun. The new Think Tank Urban Access 10 Sling bag is packed, Port Orleans Riverside is booked, 5 day park hopper passes and reservations locked in and the Magic Bands are ready. Now the agonizing wait. -?
