the problem i have found with football (soccer) is that you can't see those minute instantaneous changes in facial expressions that make a great shot when your tracking the play. Its only when you get the images onto the laptop that you see this. When i first started shooting sports i was uncomfortable with the approach of shooting in bursts of images but having tried at first to anticipate THE SHOT and only fire once i found the majority of the images missed the peak of the action. I now shoot in bursts of 4-5 frames but if for example its a player flying down the wing with a mazy dribble i may shoot 40-50 shots of that play in one go.

my keeper rate if im lucky is between 5-10%
