In a interview of Masaya Maeda he said:"We are aware of course that a small number of lenses out of over 60 in the current lineup may not be good enough for cameras such as the 5D Mark II. Since I took total responsibility for all digital SLR and lenses my first mission is to ensure that all lenses are capable of matching the latest SLRs, and also to develop and deliver new technologies to improve further the quality of new lenses. "In you opinion which lens are not up to the quality for the new canon perl?

I think he was talking about the current Canon lens set that doesn't include the discontinued ones.

I think the 28-90 is still the included kit lens on the T2. Adorama lists it for sale new at $74.95.

I'm talking about the 'III' version of course. Not that old crappy 'II' version. I'm sure everyone agrees with me that the upgrade from the 'II' to the 'III' was a real biggie with this lens. I'm waiting with baited breath for the 'IV' which will doubtless be optimized for the 5D mark 2.
