The Dalmation is also of very good quality but cropped too close for my taste. Please realize that this is not a putdown of your pet photos but merely my personal opinnion. Pet photos are hard to pull off. Every time I try to photograph my Cocker Spaniel he runs up and tries to lick the lens. 7D Mark II 6D 100mm f 2.8 macro 180mm f 3.5 macro, MP-E-65 300mm f 2.8 500mm f4 Tokina 10-17mm fisheye 10-22mm 17-55mm 24-105mm 70-300mm 70-200 f 2.8 Mk II 100-400mm Mk II 1.4 TCIII 2X TCIII 580EX II 430 EX II MT 24 EX Sigma 150-600

I'm pretty new to photography (terrestrial at least, I've been doing skies for decades) and am looking for those little things to improve. rob - check my galleries at http://hardlightimages.zenfolio.com/

Big reason for my using them too is the animals getting up-close and personal with the gear. Jon

As for getting rid of reflections in the eye, it would be so much easier if our dogs stood still. It is really difficult. So much of it depends on the photographers angle toward the subject. If you are a little bit off to the side you have a better chance of eliminating your reflection. Actually my critque of that was really a nitpick. I think that as a biginner in pet photography you are doing an amazing job. 7D Mark II 6D 100mm f 2.8 macro 180mm f 3.5 macro, MP-E-65 300mm f 2.8 500mm f4 Tokina 10-17mm fisheye 10-22mm 17-55mm 24-105mm 70-300mm 70-200 f 2.8 Mk II 100-400mm Mk II 1.4 TCIII 2X TCIII 580EX II 430 EX II MT 24 EX Sigma 150-600
