Adorable little girl! The images seem a bit underexposed and the wb seems a bit off on the 2nd. Its hard to pinpoint for sure with the images being so small though. Can you post them any larger? The fall colors are beautiful though! she is a cutie pie!

Cute shots. In the larger version I noticed the second one was underexposed and had some color issues . I had a hard time correcting it because there were just so many bright fall colors competing with her for attention!

I really like #2. The combination of the yellow outfit with the yellow leaves makes it a striking picture.

I like AndreaBFS's edit; in the original her skin looks a bit blotchy (especially on the hand).

By the way, I'm curious: do leaves taste better in Russia? Just wondering... ;-)a

Geoff
All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?

Andrea thanks su much for such a wonderful edit!! I could see mine was underwexposed but i didn't know how to correct that. Do you mind telling me how you achived those colors?

Geoff, lol I think the leaves taste about the same, be it in Canada, US or Russia.:))

First, I selected the highlights (Ctrl Alt ~), then created a Brightness / Contrast adjustment layer. I clicked the mask and then inverted it (Ctrl i) to invert the mask and protect the highlights. Then I brought up the brightness a lot. I think 75 points.

Then I used a Curves adjustment layer to pull out a ton of red and half as much blue and masked off the sweater because it went too green in that process. Then I added a selective color layer for final tweaking and used that to pull out a little more yellow and blue. I didn't do any other edits.

You can DL the .psd file here: http://www.andrearubash.com/POTN/116-2 resize copy.psd

Hope that helps. :)
