I don't follow the races, but I know these two planes. Or rather, I know the WW2 versions, and have seen them flying many times. So how close to "stock" are they? Still the same engines, maybe rebuilt, or are they completely rebuilt and nothing like the originals?

Also, "from Pylon #2"? You mean you were in the pylon?

At pylon 2 out on the course. Both of these planes are running in the Bronze and are stock. In the Gold class the planes usually have cut down wings, canopys, and the motors are modified to produce much more horsepower than stock. They also run spray bars and ADI to keep things cool.
