'99 Accord (dark green) = mine
'02 Accord (white) = my girlfriend's
'06 Mustang GT (black) = my friend Enrique's (who let me test out his 50mm f1.8 and wireless flash setup)
'06 Mustang GT (blue) = my other friend Gary's

I was shooting with my Rebel XT (350D) and the 18-55 kit lens. The two shots of the Mustangs were taken with my XT, but with my friend's 50mm. It was having trouble focusing in the dim light, but it was a fast lens and when it focused I could tell it was a lot sharper than my kit lens. Definitley my next lens on the to-buy list.

Here's my favorite shot of the night, using my kit lens, hand-held, and my friend's wireless flash set-up (old canon speedlight 155a, sunpak 383, stands, Cactus V2s transmitter/recievers).

Sorry but the Image posting rules only allow for 8 images to be embedded. I converted the last two to links. Please see the Image Posting rules link in my sig.

One too many images, Raymond: IMAGE POSTING RULES
EDIT: Looks like Jamie & I were editing the same post! :D

1-6 are OK images, but the exteriors have reflections from the buildings & they would look better in another location with late light as you started to do with #4.

Sorry about breaking the rules, I didn't know there was a limit on posting the pics, now I know! :)

Any other advice on the pictures?

I knew the mid-day light would be an issue, as were the reflections in the paint and whatnot. Anything else?

How did you guys like #7 with the external flashes?

I think you started to get the idea towards the end of the night. But then again, we were in pitch black and couldn't see enough to focus. Still, they were great shots. Just need to practice some more - the ligthing will help overall.

Take a look at PhotosGuy's post about shooting cars. It was very informative for me when I started shooting. Even with my point and shoot.
