This is a converted Canon D60 with a custom white balance and when using Light Room to upload the photos the white balance gets messed up. As it displays the thumbnails they appear correct but then Light Room then turns them back to red--as if no custom WB was set. In Develop the WB is still set to 'as shot' but the photo isn't right. Has this happened to anyone else? How can i stop it from doing that?

I'm guessing that you see the difference between "Canon default" and "Adobe default" rendering.
That's the reason I'm happy with LR2 and ACR 4.5 and later: They can use the new "Camera" profiles, so it's finally possible to get decent colors out of Adobe converters ;)

Have a read about altering LR rendering, and how to change it, here: Click (external link).

Alternatively, it might be that the WB is mis-read. What happens if you set it manually?

Looks like I need to get LR2. I've always wondered why when I first upload and click on a new photo they appear vibrant and have a higher dynamic range but within a second change to a bland version.

I guess I'll just use DPP in the meantime.
