Hi I am a newbie to this forum and to photography really, and this was one of the first shots taken with my new Canon 450D with standard lens kit 18-55mm. I also have a G9. I was just messing around with the kids in the back garden yesterday and managed to take this one, although I cut the top of his head off. Any critique welcome! Also what is the best way to downsize an image to maximum file size allowed with losing too much quality. I have downsized it in CS3. It is appearing very small and not sure how to make it appear bigger! Any help appreciated!

Welcome to POTN! It would be nicer to see the image a tad larger, have you read some of the Stickys about image posting?

Stop on by the UK South East Thread to meet lots of POTNers in your area too :)

Thanks! I actually just joined that group of Facebook! I will have to look into getting the image larger, although you can view it through this link if it works:

Any advice on posting images welcome.

Right have (I hope) managed to upload the pic larger. Fingers crossed it has worked!
