I like the composition, all the foliage draws you right to the little girl. And great timing, what a nice expression.

Would like to see her brought out a little bit, i.e. fill light.

How do I do the fill light without making the other parts of the pic look too blown out?

Well I meant a little fill when shooting it, be it either a touch of flash, reflector, etc. A little extra light on her would have helped balance the scene a bit since you've got her in the shade (where she should be) and hot sun on the bg. However I'm sure the file could be tweaked in ACR and PS to bring her up just a touch, if you have your original I'd be happy to throw my subpar editing skills at it.

I do have the original - even in raw. I would love for you to show me. Do you want me to email the file?

she is way cute! The picture seems a little cool to me though. What was your WB set at? I would expect that the little girl would have more color. I do like the composition though.

I know, the WB is really bothering me. I don't know how to fix it! I have the RAW file and have tried changing it to shade, auto, daylight, etc. But it's not working - the color looks off then. I'm using DPP for RAW. For some reason I can't open it in photoshop even after I've loaded the RAW plug in.

Emailed you back. My humble go at it. I lost some detail in her dress in trying to add some 'light' to her face.

Yep, Secret_Squirrel got it right, mine has too much red, but my dress had more detail :)

How about cutting out a bit of that busy background to focus more on your little sweetie?

Not sure what color her dress is supposed to be.....
