Its been awhile - New Photos

Hey guys! Well I havnt been on the forum in awhile. Im still new to the game but thought I would post some of my recent shots - Please Please let me know of any areas I can improve on! Thanks!

i love the low light light

In #1 the tilting verticals can be avoided by keeping the camera level or they can be corrected by the Perspective Correction tool in PSCS.

In #2 and #3 - no comment.

In #4 the dappled light that you get under a shade tree is usually very difficult to deal with and this picture is an example. However, you got a very nice picture out of it, everything considered. I would suggest trying to find Open Shade instead, because you will avoid the random hot spots as occurred in this shot.

#4 is still a very nice portrait of the two boys - congratulations!

I like the composition on these and I really love the saturation, but the one thing I would pay a little more attention to is the exposure...all of these, and especially the 3rd shot look rather dark on my monitor.

Beyond that, I think the first shot would have benefit from a better sky in the background and on the last shot, I find the lighting and the pose a bit "off". I think it would have worked better with the two boys looking at the camera instead of off camera and I find the lighting as it apparently "trickled thru the trees" to be rather distracting personally. Instead of being drawn to the boys faces, my eye keeps going to the highlights in their hair instead.

Thanks! Yeah actually the 3rd shot was a very dark room and I mainly wanted to bring out the lighting on the 2 sinks. I shoot pretty dark stuff and for some reason I always like it darker. But I do need to shoot some lighter stuff. Thanks for the tips tho!

nice shots. i think the 4th one could use a little fill light though.
