Got a new Skyport Universal Receiver, new version - new feature

I just received my third Elinchrom Skyport Universal Receiver and this one is a different type (version) than my older ones. The old ones are of the SPUNI-V1.3 type, and the new one is the SPUNI-V1.4 type.

I just checked that it triggers, and noticed a new “feature”. The old ones never gave any kind of feedback if the signal had reached the receiver or not, and thus when people had problems triggering the flash, you could never know if it was because of a faulty Skyport unit or if there was something with the hot shoe adapter / cables / flash compatibility. The new Skyport confirms that the signal has reached the receiver by blinking the status led once (the one that is blinking slowly when the receiver is turned on).

I couldn’t find any info online about the different versions, so I thought I’ll post about it here.

I have a universal transmitter and two RX receivers right now (600RX Lights) but I hope to get a pair of universal receivers in the future to be able to go strobist when the mood strikes.
