ram for my macbook pro

looking to upgrade to 4gb ram on my new 2.4ghz macbook pro

i can get the ram from either crucial or ramjet

ramjet says their ram is non-stacked. is crucials ram also non-stacked? ramjet says non-stacked is much more efficient, but crucials is cheaper so wanted to see if crucials was nonstacked also.

I purchased my imac and ordered my ram through crucial no problem.

I used Patriot and recently bought some cas4 G.Skill low latency ram for my 17" MBP. The differences in ram on notebooks is very small, not really that noticeable. You can;t really tweak the ram in the bios like a desktop.


I have been using this ram for almost a year in my first 17" with no problems:

I also have a set of these in my newer 17" mbp and they work fine but cant really see a speed difference and it is "high performance cas4 ram":
