Last weekend I had the honor of doing something I have only done once before in my entire 15 + year wedding photography career - second shoot for another photographer. My better half had a wedding in her home town of Las Vegas so I simply could not pass up the chance to head back to Sin City to visit friends and of course Suzy's family.

We had a great time with truly one of the best couples have ever had the honor to meet and photograph! I shot the boys while Suzy took control and covered the ladies. So with the extra freedom of second shooting, I found myself with a ton of extra time to goof off and just play.

Here are a few from the wedding below, but to check out a lot more check out Suzy's blog and make sure to leave her some love if you do.

#3 The Boys inside the Casino - which I almost went to jail for - yeah seriously it got so serious I was changing out my memory cards and hiding them while the groom talked to the Gaming Commission so when I did go to jail I could try and save the images. Lucky everything worked out alright!

Good stuff Mike, Being one that has never been to Vegas I would assume from your posts they do not allow cameras inside the casino? Glad you were able to get it worked out. Although I would have laughed to have seen you in a episode of COPS. Remember to run when they go to arrest you and when you get caught and they ask you why you ran...tell them you were scared. That seems to be the standard response ;)

Nice shots, but they all seem a bit dark to me.

The casino shot is very cool. I'm surprised you had any trouble, unless it's because they were sitting at the table. Most casinos now allow photography inside

I was just in Vegas last month with my camera in the casinos. I asked at the Venetian and they said just to be careful of getting other people into the shot. I have pictures from just about every casino I walked through and not once did I get stopped. Maybe it's my training as a street shooter.... :)

I like the shots but I think you need a second pass of sharpening after you shrink for the web.

Admit it, you just packed the 1D3 in your pants and walked like a pimp.

From looking at the shot, i would have to say its most likly cause he was in the casinos pit being on the wrong side of the table. I am sure the Pit Boss was not happy to share there space like that.

Casino's just hate big cameras near any table.. And if you walk around with a Huge Lense, and they have celebrity guests in house, they will instantly kick you out ( most casino's will ).. It has happend to me and I'm not even paparazzi lol.. But nice shots, the table shot took some guts to do lol..
