I'm a complete newb to studio lighting & portraits. I'd like constructive criticism of this image made with:
- Lastolite HiKey BG
- Kacey BD + 2 Speedlites + sock - no grid
- Lastolite TriFlector
- shot 1/250 - f/10 - ISO 200
- P-P included retoucing eyes, hair highlights, lips, teeth, reflections in glasses, but skin left "au naturel".

My goal with this image was to shoot less-than-20-year-old skin in the most flattering way possible. I used the BD & reflectors in a clamshell configuration. Did I succeed? If not, where did I go wrong?

BTW, many thanks to Jerry Kacey who took the time to reply to my emails and point me in the right direction about mounting & using his BD. Gotta love that kind of after market-support.

TIA,

- Mike.

Awesome shot. I have been looking at the Lastolite Hikey background lately. It appears to do exactly what it says.

SOOC from today's shoot.
DIY socked beauty dish powered by Minolta Auto320x

Obviously, I have some zit work to do on Asa... LOL. Poor guy. He spends a great deal of time on a regimented workout and has the figure to show it; two days before the shoot, he breaks out. (He turns 21 on Tuesday... you'd think this'd be a part of his history by now.)

Audrey is fairly new to the camera, although in many of the shots you wouldn't have known it.
