Cheaper end Telephoto...

I'm looking for a telephoto lens to complement my collection, but I'm a university student, so money is a bit tight. I've been looking at a few, all of them sub $400, and was wondering if there were any standouts in your opinions. :P As well, I've only looked at Canon lenses, if you feel a Sigma or Tamron would be a better fit and in my price range, let me know!

Canon EF 75-300 mm F4-5.6 III USM ($230)
Canon EF-S 55-250 mm F4-5.6 IS ($330)
Canon EF 80-200 mm F4.5-5.6II ($200)

D. Canon EF 70-210 f3.5-4.5 USM (Discontinued, $100-200 used)

If you can't find one, go for the 55-250. Those other two lenses are junk.

Maybe a 70-200 F4 (non IS) from the marketplace, some are around low 500s

Ef-s 55-250 IS for sure! I thought they were selling for less than you listed.

Would help to know what you plan to shoot, if sports, the aforementioned 70-210 USM, great AF. Otherwise, the 55-250IS is a good fit. May canfind a used 70-300IS in that range too.
