I recently purchased a Feisol CT-3442 Tripod with the center column option from Darkninja67 who was advertising it through P.O.T.N. (BTW, an excellent transaction and I would certainly recommend him!!) and started to do some research on a ballhead to go with it. I used my old tripod very rarely since it seemed to weigh about 50 lbs. I "Googled" Feisol and came up with their website (which indicated that purchases are shipped from NC).
I wanted to give them a call to discuss their ballhead and plate options. There was no specific phone # but a form to e-mail them with any questions and a promise of a return phone call. I sent them my question and a call-back number. Honestly, I never expected to hear from them. BUT withn about 45 minutes, they had called me back. They were familier with my equipment (my heaviest rig is a 1D MkII & 400 5.6L w/ a 1.4 extender). We discussed the options they offered in terms of ballheads and plates and within a few minutes I had made a purchase.
If the ballhead is 1/2 as good as their customer service, I'll be very happy with it!
