Does any one use one of these;http://www.procameragear.com …ath/33_49/products_id/446 (external link) I'm looking for a pouch for my 580 exII that will attach to one of the loops on my Lowepro Stealth Reporter 400. If anyone has one of the flash keepers can you tell me if the belt loop on it is the kind that a belt slips through ? or does it have velcro that can be used on a loop on my bag? They don't show pictures of the back of the flash keeper pouch.

I have also been looking for a Lowepro sliplock case that would hold a 580EX II for use with my Lowepro Toploader 75 AW holster case. So if anyone does know of something that would work, I'd be interested to know too.

Ben,
I've been looking everywhere and what I find is either too big or too small in the lowepro stuff. Tamrac makes a nice one but the strap on the back with velcro is way too wide. I just want a pouch that fits my 580exII nice and snug. I can't figure out why a big company like Lowepro wouldn't make an external slip lock pouch to fit some of the popular flashes.

Well Digital Picture says that this one will carry two flashes... LINK (external link)Not quite what we are looking for though. I know I saw on that website that there was one that would carry one flash but it was really snug so I looked further into it only to find out that it was way too small. Thats the closest Ive come to finding a solution.

I love how items are up there in the POTN shop yet there are no reviews and the pictures provided hardly show anything. You'd think they'd know when need some details! :D

Also, the flash holder doesn't say what flashes it holds.

Oh , it does mention the loop type.

"The 1" wide belt loop can be used to secure your FlashKeeper to a belt or belt system; the pouch also comes with a heavy duty snap hook to clip onto your belt, jacket, or camera bag."

I think I'll order one of these:http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_A_S_Flash_Accessory.html (external link) I know the strap on the back will be too wide, but I'll try to cut it or mod. it to fit the smaller loop on my stealth reporter. It does look like a nice case for a 580exII. I am kinda anal about things being perfect and putting Tamrac on Lowepro will bother me for awhile but I think I'll get over it.

That looks like a nice case, but functionality wise little more than the Canon one that the flash comes with. On top of that the images dont show what the strap looks like in the back (if there is one) and the description only mentions the 430EX and not the 580EX II. I dont know how big the Nikon flashes that the description mentions though...

Again with this one, decent looking case, I like the battery holder compartment, but no images of the back showing the strap and whether or not it would work with the Lowepro SlipLock system. Also $35 plus shipping and/or tax seems a bit steep to me for a flash case.

Ben,
On the Tamrac website it says it is for the 580 exII. I know it does have a strap on the back but it will be 3" wide, thats why I said I would try to cut it or mod. it to fit the smaller loop for my Lowepro.

unless you guys already have a lowepro utility case, I'd thoroughly suggest getting one. It's not exactly a flash case alone, but it'll fit two plus shoe cords, batteries etc..

or do as I've done, and use it to offload all your smaller pieces from your bag, so there's room for your flash inside it.

... just trying to widen the choices.

I have the Think Tank Lighting Fast as well as a number of Lowepro products. The Think Tank attachment device is about twice as wide as the Lowepro loop so there is no way to make the two work together without some serious improvisation.

Thats what I figured, but thanks for the confirmation!
