So i am traveling to England and Ireland over thanksgiving and i need a bag to travel with that can carry my setup that i will most likely take with me. I plan on taking:

canon 40D gripped
Sigma 70-200mm
canon 50mm prime
canon 28-135mm
canon 430 ex
canon 100mm macro
canon 85mm
batteries, memory cards, cords, other misc stuff.

i am going to be taking my laptop too, so if you have a bag that hold a 13" macbook as well that would be awesome.

so, basically i am looking for the bag that you would recommend with this set up. i am mainly looking for a backpack that i wouldn't have trouble taking places because of its size. color doesn't matter. ohh and if you could post a pic of your stuff in your bag that would also be much appreciated.

i am looking to spend $125 or less if that helps.

thanks in advance

Shoulder bag? Backpack?

I like the Mountainsmith Parallax. It is fairly small, holds a lot, is durable and versatile. You can search for more detailed info on the Parallax and learn quite a bit on effective ways to travel as a photog on my site for traveling photogs at www.flyingwithfish.com (external link)

mostly looking for a backpack. the only thing i worry about is that i will need to take it into museum, castles, palaces, places like that that i will be taking tours in, but taking pics on either side of the tour, before and after i mean. not in the actuall place as many of the places do not let you take pictures in.

Philly Guy.
I will be at games 1,2 and 6 in the NLCS.
I was in London this Spring and I took my Lowepro MiniTrekker AW.
I would look at the Lowepro Computrekker AW.
The AW cover is definitely required for their climate. I saw a Computrekker at the Camera Shop in Bryn Mawr.
Very nice bag.

Find a used (or not yet sold) LowePro Stealth backpack on eBay. LowePro no longer makes them, but they should meet your needs. They don't attract attention and they are slim in profile.

and how can you afford the billion dollars it cost to go to these games. hahaha well unless you are in the dugout shooting. i can only hope i was. did you have any trouble taking bags of that size into any palaces/castles/museums of any sort. obviously with a guard checking it, but did you have to leave it with the guard station at all. i hope not.

Philly.
In London I took my Minitrekker AW everywhere. Certain places, Westminster Abbey for example photography was not allowed. I just kept my bag zippered and it was not a problem. The guards were very friendly when you opened the bag before they asked.
Not one place where I had to leave my bag or could not bring with me.
The Phil's must take Game 1 Thursday afternoon. One game at a time.
I will be out in left field for tomorrows game, home run territory.
Unfortunately I will not be in the dugout, I wish.:D
A friend of mine was the Phillies photographer for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Every home game we saw his work.
For a baseball junkie like me, he was a lucky man.
