Would it be worth upgrading? What do I gain in the 550 over the 380?
I am assuming more output power, and swivel capability.

I'd suggest though you go to a 430, it's just generally more useful, charges faster, unless you need master functionality or want to use a battery pack. The 550 makes a great slave on a light stand, with a battery pack, but i'm about to replace mine as a working flash. If I found a good deal on a 550EX i'd snap it up as a slave though, if anyone wants to sell me one...
