Is that an example of the Video Mode? If not, why a 5D2?

Actually it is not video. It is time lapse. In other words tha camera is set to take a frame once every second, or two seconds. He imports all of them in to a program that can string them into a video.

That is what I thought. So it seems as though it can be done with any camera that allows you to (well) "Take a picture." I just couldn't figure out why this would be ...

Whatever.

OH, and one other thing. This may be showing my age, but while I was watching them I found a long buried part of my brain singing:

"He was once a little green slab of clay. Gumby!"

If there weren't people in that video I would have swore it was a model set. WOW

I have become addicted to them! I have to watch all 3 a few times a day. And I still have to giggle at them as I watch them. I down loaded one, but cant seem to down load the others.

Your right Stathunter, even though you know it is a bunch of pictures of real life, it still looks like a model.

Nope, that's just timelapse. What I meant however, was that all of these "effect" lenses that frequently get shelved after a period of use will all come back when people (er, 5d2 owners) can use them for video.

I got tired of the lensbaby look before I saw a dozen such images, but seeing videos taken with it bring me right back to that first "ooh". I just think people are going to be come reinfatuated with their TS, macro, fisheye lenses etc etc.

YES!!! I have them all downloaded and in my ipod!!!!

I got your point. I guess others didnt. I have never been so excited about the possabilities that a product has. I literally cant wait to get the 5D2. I have a friend that does high end video production. We have discussed joining forces before. We may have to do it now! He has the equipment for HD video so I will not need to get anything other than the camera. Well ... that and a bunch of new lenses!

Oh and I found a wonderful time laps video of Miami! ...... http://vimeo.com/1918019 (external link)
