This weekend I was at my sis's bridal shower taking some pictures and several of them had black spots on the eyes. When I uploaded them, Photoshop Elements 6 automatically fixed them but what caused them. I used a Canon XSI with a 24-105L and a 550EX II. Thanks, Len

I don't see any black spots. What I do see is an elongated image in the X-dimension. Did you rescale it without constraining proportions?

Look above her eye for spot, I agree with the proportions.

If you set it to auto correct red eye it might have seen the red area near her eye as a part to fix.

Sorry about the compression. Was trying to get it down to show the spot. Yes it is the spot on her eye. Not all but several of the pictures showed them but the adobe fixed it. Any ideas?

I remembered seeing the phenomenon before, but there was no resolution to it then either...

I find this interesting, esp. if you were shooting in RAW.

Think of a court situation when the images were proof of an abuse scenario.

Photoshop Elements 6 seems to be a common link between the two threads experiencing this issue.

In the other thread the OP mentioned that the marks were not on the original images, but appeared in Elements 6.

Try importing your images using DPP, and see if you get the same results.
