First try in over a month with my garage setup. Any C&C appreciated. It was hard to get them all to smile at the same time.

They are good :) Love the background :) But they seem a little soft. And try to watch your light fall off in the first one the daughter? sitting in front is darker then the rest. Her left cheek is too shadowed compared to the rest.
The second shot is better but a bit on the hot side. In both it looks like you may have had the center focus point on? It seems the strongest focus is in the center of both images. If you post your settings and or lighting set up maybe we can help a little better.

Oh and dont worry about the non response thing. It happens to all of us. It doesnt mean your pictures are bad, it is just most people here browse through the photos, only a couple stop to post a reply. :)

I really like the second shot best. What a smile! The light seeems a little off in the first one, but I'm really not sure why (if that makes any sense), I'm just starting to do portrait shots as well. You have some beautiful young ladies there. They should be proud to show their smiles.

Yes the center focus was on . What should I set that with ...all points focus ? I had a AB 800 firing from the left about 45 degrees at F11,fill at front right of camera , A White Ligtning 1600 with brolly set at F 6.3. Camera by my meter reading was set at F11. Iso 100 1/125 manual.

I hope this helps you help me with what I did wrong . Did I say that right?

Thanks all for the replies.
