Ok, well, yup... Another one of THESE threads...
Sorry.

Anyway, I am looking for a camera bag (backpack) that will hold:
16.4" Laptop
40D w/ 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
50 1.4
30 1.4 (Sigma)
10 2.8 (Sigma)
70-200 2.8 non-is (Canon)
430EX Flash
Accessories (Batteries, manuals, gels, ect.)

It will need to be within airline regulations (will be flying from Florida back here to California next year, so it needs to be able to be my carry on)

I came across the Kata DR-467 bag, and have several questions.
Kata says it can hold 1-2 cameras with lenses attatched, and 3-4 more lenses, and a 15" laptop. Reviewers show it can really only hold a gripped 5D w/ 24-105mm, 70-200 f/4 IS, 580EX II and hoods for both lenses. But they also say it can fit the 17" macbook pro with ease...

So, we can see Kata isn't really truthfull in their sizes.
I would just like to know if it can hold everything I listed above. I know it can hold the laptop, 40D w/ 17-55 2.8 IS, 70-200 2.8 non-IS, and MAYBE one of the primes, but that is it. (and accessories, of course)

So if someone who owns this bag could help me out, that'd be great!

I don't think that large a laptop will fit in the compartment. I have a 17 inch Dell and it only fit in the Adventure 9, which is a pretty big bag, so would definitely fit the rest of your gear. It's a great bag, wonderful for traveling. The Kata bags are beautiful, as I have the 465, with no laptop compartment and it's super comfy for long hikes. But if you are set on the larger laptop, the 467 may not fit your needs.

I thought so originally, and read many reviews saying it will hold a 17" laptop, and even B&H says in the bag's specs that it will hold up to a 17" laptop. But it will not be able to hold all of the equipment I listed above.
I will check out the adventure 9. Thanks!
