A Little History Lesson:
Well according to some Ducks were irrelevant until sometime in 2004. It is widely believe that our own IanD started this phenominon with this very post.
Originally posted by IanDOk I know you are getting tired of the ducks and I promise I'll find something else to capture. The geese are going to arrive soon.
This mallard was busy taking a bath and rolling around enjoying the 0C temperature. Ducks are nuts
If you thought the first one was bad........
Many more Ducks followed IanD around

IanD even got out of bed a 5:00 am and tried to share some other wild life but was called out:

Geez Jerry, the guy said that they were furry ducks...very rare
It was not long until other fell into formation:
Originally posted by BelmondoI was recently the brunt of some very cruel humor about never posting pictures, so today I took a few. I would like to dedicate these to the Canadian contingent noting that none of these pictures are from behind the birds, although one shot is of a bird showing its rear end to another one. Good taste and fear of banishment preclude me from commenting on that particular image although I do have several 'snappy' captions I might otherwise have used.

Excellent capture Leo. By chance, are there a couple of ducks in the foreground
Well things begin to progress and then we see this: It seems Belmondo's friend posted some nice model shots (sorry images were not availble at the time of this thread). Ian was beside himself.

HELLO!!!
My good friend, Tom, who is the moderator Belmondo here, finally convinced me to buy a Canon Digital Rebel. I don't know when I've felt so enthused about a new toy and that enthusiasm only multiplied when I visited this forum and found so much useful information and so many beautiful images.
I don't pretend to have the experience that so many of you obviously do. However, I had so much fun taking these shots that I decided to post them even though I'm a rank newbie.
This is my girlfriend, Jennifer, who always makes my day a bit more beautiful. I am so glad I finally have a decent camera that I can use to capture a bit of her pulchritude with.
By the way, I don't have thin skin and am more than pleased with any criticism or suggestions from those of you who are real pros.
THANKS
Mark

Good greif! For a first attempt these are wonderful shots. I had a DRebel before the 10D aqnd I never got close to such a beautiful model. A lot of deer and ducks but there ain't a women alive that would let me get close to her with a camera.
Wonderful images you lucky dude!
It seems that there were some early participants to the Show me you Duck tradition, they just did not know. it.

These shots are my second attempt to use my Canon 10D and Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens. This is a great lens at half the price of a similiar length Canon. The color from the 10 D is just super. I shot Raw, Adobe RGB, Iso 400, converted in BreezeBrowser to 8 bit tiff and post processed in PSE2.
