I havent shot DH for about a month, so I thought Id get out and shoot some shots. I was pretty happy with how these turned out, though it would be cool to get another flash.

All shots are: EOS 350d. 24-70L St-e2 transmitter and one 430 ex flash. Al around 1/125th-1/200th. Ranging from f/4-f/5.6. Iso 800.

And one of me for good measure. Riding my new rig:

Any C&C appreciated, enjoy:)

Look really nice, they all have cool crops/composition.

Looks like 1 flash was working pretty well. What did you have the flash set on?

Good shots, I would crop in on the riders though, as they tend to get lost in the scenery.

Any shots or your new rig?

Nice shots Sam, but think you could crop a bit tighter. I.E. The tree on the right of 4

The tree is my favourite part:confused: I think thats because I have shot at that spot multiple times, so I tryed to mix it up a bit compositionaly wise.

Great lighting on all the shots. I agree with the other posters in doing a bit of cropping.
I hope to obtain a press pass for Crankworx in Whistler B.C. next year for the slopestyle comp.
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Im really liking it, pedals really well, geo is almost spot on. Though I have heard stories of them cracking, but im only light so we'll see how I go. Im hoping to buy a new flash in the next few weeks so hopefully I'll be able to have some more versatile shots!

Congratulations Sam.
Read in todays paper (Illawarra Mercury) that you got First Place in the Junior Section with one of your MTB Pictures.
Well Done.

Great photos!
Nice to see a DH rider. I am riding one of the old school Giant ATX DH1 bikes.

Like the crisp clear colours in the photos. You post on Pinkbike?
