If the recipt that you got when you bought your Rebel xt/xti has the serial number of the camera printed on it?

Im having a tough time with my xti and the warranty and i need to know if the recipt shows the serial number so i can use that as proof of purchase that the camera is still under warranty.

Thanks.

Receipts I've received from B&H and Canoga always have the S/N of the items printed on them as do the handwritten ones I have from my local brick and mortar camera shop.

YMMV...

Three camera receipts I have from three different stores all have the Serial number. Some of my lens receipts do and some don't. Neither flash receipt does.

Depends on which store.
I don't recall Amazon having serial numbers on their receipts.
I have not had a problem sending a lens in for services despite that.

Circuit city does not - I am sure of this. COmpUSA does. I do not think Amazon does.
