Everyone talks like the 75-300 is terrible. I think it is capable of descent images for the budget minded, like me! This was a hazy afternoon, and the wind was blowing pretty good, no tripod.

And Finally, the kit lens with graduated tobacco filter... It was a little too dark for one from the car window, but I tried anyway... Here goes....

Hope you like them... I'll take any comments though... Thanks!

I think the 75-300 is a very capable lens, as long as the lighting is good. In lower light situations it struggles, but I'm budget mandated (I mean minded) too! I took these, https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57775 the other day with my 75-300. It was bright and sunny and I think they show the 75-300 is a decent lens!

I like your shots. If you get the chance on a clear sunny day, I'd take them again and show the doubters what the 75-300 can do!

I like my 75-300, and I really like your number 3 shot.

I had the 75-300 for a couple of weeks. The quality was worth the $$$, but i was later pursuaded to give it to a friend for 10 bucks on top of the price i paid for it. Not bad eh :P Might even pic another up for my son when i pass on the 300D to him (when the 300D successor is announced though :P)

My vote is with #3 as well...something about the peach colored clouds appeals to me.

All the L lenses in the world won't help someone lacking in artistic sense and it's possible to take a masterpiece with a Polaroid, so don't worry that much about your equipment, unless you work for Sports Illustrated, National Geographic or something...
