I went out to shoot with a friend today since I haven't shot in so long.

Please let me know what you think... I feel like these are on the verge of being 'snapshots.' So, please tell me if my paranoia is right or not.

All C&C appreciated.. Editing/composition/etc... Thanks for looking

I like the 2nd one the best! Some of them (like 3, 5 and 10) do look like snapshots to me though...IMO only...:)

starts off well but the subject gets smaller and smaller :( she's too pretty to be a fraction of the frame.

Thanks guys!

So from what I see, it seems like the pose makes a big difference in distinguishing an image as a snapshot or not.... Is this idea correct?

I'd say 1 is your best. Nice pose, nice lighting (even with the blown out background) and nice processing.

Personally, I don't care for the dress, which takes away from the captures.

Try to avoid straight on shots like 2 and 3 - the scenes are great and these could have been really cool with a different pose and crop.

I also have to agree with two40 - make your subject larger. She should be more prominent overall, not just part of the scenery.

The subject seems to get lost in the background in some of these. In number six, the camera focused on the plants and not the subject. This location could have provided some excellent settings with a tighter crop IMHO.

1Dx - 5DIII - 40D - Canon 24-70LII, 100L macro, 135L, 16-35L, 70-200 f4 and 100-400L lenses

- "Very good" is the enemy of "great." Sometimes we confuse the two.

I like #1 and #2 the best. The others seem to far away to really capture the moment.;)
