I have a question that I forgot to ask in my earlier Congrats post. Maybe someone who has done this alot can help me out? Has it always been the norm to be able to change your photo right up until the closing of the contest? Just curious & I don't know where else to ask.

Here's my take on it. Contest closes for submission at a certain time and the one posted then is the shot you're judged on. I didn't even think of changing mine until I had seen a couple others make a change. Really, it's no different than deleting your entry and putting in another.

I just did a quick scan of the last 9 challenges. Every one except one shows at least one person doing an edit. They don't always say what they did but they could be entry changes.

It's been done in the past with no complaints (as far as I know). I guess it would be up to the person running the particular challenge. As for me, I have no problems with folks changing their shots. The only complaint would be if they had more than one entry.

Edits maybe, color/contrast tweaks maybe, but no entry changes on 69, as I judged that one. I wrote down what the picture was, entered by whom, & sidenotes on each one before I actually picked the winners. I also have gone back to read alot of the archives.
I guess to each his own as far as the judging and to each his own as far as being confident enough the first time with his/her original entry. :) Good luck on the next challenge. :D
