I put it on my Feisol 3441S which is roughly the same as the 1541 and considered a traveler tripod same as the Gitzo. The ballhead is smooth and I can't find a single thing to complain about. It's small and compact, yet very stable and strong. The Q3T is the strongest part of my setup.
