the sky is a little gray in some but that is not really your fault other than that they look great to me. Nice timing and captures.

Nice shots. I did not even bother to keep any of my T-Bird shots from Reno, deleted them all.

Josh, ya did OK, no worries. Jets are Not really all that easy to shoot WELL consistantly.
White jets are even tougher, due to the reflectance and the ease of blowing out a hot spot and keeping detail. Film is actually better at holding the info in the whites. I have a good friend that only shoots them with a 1/3 ND on all lenses. He seems to think that it keeps the highlights from going out so easy. I would think that you could cut your exposure a smidge and see if that helps.

But what I really want to see is the unusual attitudes that they fly on turns - banks and breaks. Those often take place well away from the crowd line, but to me they are less boring.

Cheers

I like them. They can't be easy to shoot.

Nice work.

Thanks guys! Wasn't too happy last night with the sky color and the sun drowning out the details on the airframes where they are painted white. But, I'll take these any day of the week. As for the lens, I used a Canon 300mm f/4L I most of the time..

Wow nice shots! I've never seen the thunderbirds fly in person. Is the shot in #1 an optical illusion or are they really flying that close?

Too much to list...

It's Magic!! ;)

Actually the upper jet is about a wingspan closer to the viewer than the lower jet.

The offset angle creates the illusion that they're stacked.
