I like it myself, but i find its not got any of this pop and shine you see in food mgazines....i reckon most of that is done in pp......can anyone enlighten me how i could achieve that with using just aperture and not photoshop?

other then that, pls critique and rip it apart, I am learning from that!

i think maybe having the whole shot in focus would have been more appealing...maybe stop down a few clicks or focus stack the image? Also, maybe some Sharpening & Curves to make it really pop.

Just a thought.

I like the composition Chef, but the exposure seems harsh? I tried to bring out detail in the berries, but it doesn't work....

exposure harsh? meaning blown out? overexposed? I have some which are darker, lets see

this ones straight out of the camera:

I like the darker better.focus on the forefront if you are going for DOF effect..I like seeing the entire tarlet itself.gives a sense of what one can nibble at;)
