Hi, I don't know if this belongs here but mod please move if you must. I shoot with a 40D and for some reasons, some of my pictures have these funny lines. Does anybody know what the problem is? Thanks a lot.

Here's the link because it's more visible when enlarged.

Does this same thing occur in horizontal format with the lines running horizontally?
The spacing between the lines looks very precise. There is a band of lines occuring in groups ever 200 pixels, approximately. Each band consists of a similar group of close-spaced lines. The lines are perfectly straignt and uniform.

I've never seen anything like it, except on film cameras where something was scratching the film as it is advanced.

Let's hope that it is some peculiarity of the mirror and not the sensor, itself.

The discussion moved over to the EOS Forum. Apparently it is just a few images that show the problem.
