Here's sharing a processed video grab from a pre-production 5DM2 + Canon 100 2.8 USM macro (cropped, levels/contrast, USM, NR, slight resizing). :)

I hope the HD video stills never equal RAW stills in image quality or i'll have to get one and start working in a different way. Could happen by the 5D MKIV ?

Exactly what I was thinking - would be an interesting way of getting images for a focus stack :)

If they can get the vid to shoot in true 24fps format I'd sell my car to get one.

I can imagine what you, Brian V., Alistair and MJ would produce with one of these. I hope you guys get it just so we could marvel (even more) at your work. :D

Nice capture and fantastic video.

From the samples of dpreview, the quality of pictures are not very good from 5DII. Did you try different lens other than macro lens? How is the quality?
