Could you all please take a look at my NEW site and let me know if I'm on the right track or not????

Thanks in advance.

It took a cruise through, Dave. A few issues with it..

- I'd make a good pass though looking for inconsistencies between pages. For example if I watch your headings while I pop through the pages, they're jumping all over the place, and sometimes are styled differently
- Check your spelling, on a quick review I saw "conact me" and "manily" typos
- The layout of the white frame around black feels "clunky" to me. If that white frame were thinner, and maybe the black was dark gray instead, I think it would look a bit more classy. Also only one corner of your frame is rounded - seems inconsistent.
- Last, and possibly most egregious, is the massive use of javascript on the page, for functions that could and should be done much more simply in html & css. A user without JS cannot even view your site, and I'm not sure but the search engines may have a tough time indexing your site the way its built.

Dave

Thanks for the review on my site. It was a basic template and I just updated from it. I'm not a web designer at all and just wanted to get something up.

This is just my personal opinion, but I personally like the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple ...) approach. Simple and clean. The white border you currently have around your pages is distracting to me. If it didn't resize and shift between pages, it'd be less of a distraction. Since you're not a web designer, you might not know how to set those frames/borders more rigidly. If you do, that's a visual fix I would suggest. If you don't know how to change that, then perhaps try to get rid of that feature altogether.

It certainly is a start but since I'm assuming you're hoping to attract potential clients, it's only in your best interest to make the site as presentable as possible. (And I don't mean that you need to load the website with bells and whistles.)

Thanks for the help from both of you and I have made some changes as recommended.

Hope it looks better
