Ok, I'm not sure if it's the right place... but I am using my 70-200 f/4 earlier today and I just wonder why was the sky so blue??? No filter used, raw from jpeg - here's a couple (as shot)... could it be just my monitor? :( histogram doesn't say underexpose though...

You don't like the blue sky?

Do you shoot manual or auto white balance? It could have something to do with the WB, but to me they look spot on...

You were fortunate enough to have a truly clear, dust and moisture-free, sky. Most of us haul around polarizers and chase the right sun angle to get that effect.

I think you may have your "Smog" setting set to "Off":)

I just built a mega-blocks castle (700 blocks) with my son and there are similarities from the one in your picture ;) I've never seen a castle in real life. Looks like an incredible destination. Your sky looks fine on my LCD monitor. If it was consistantly an issue with me I'd just create an import preset with a slight de-saturation in the blue channel. I don't have a haze filter so most of my skies are washed out. (unless I use HDR with bracket exposures of course... my only cure). Looks like the new 50D does a good job at balanced exposures. Much more-so than my XSI. I've pre-ordered the 5Dii and acquired a multi-coated 77mm CPL so I'm looking forward to my sky problems being a thing of the past.

^^ Funny, how I freaked out on having a natural blue sky (just found out from you guys)... because normally my problem is having a washed out ones. Prague is a great place, been here for a year and just now started exploring the place. And since I am considering a job offer in Baghdad... it's like "I have to go out and see places before I leave!" And I have to hold any body/glass upgrade for me because of the restrictions on taking photos over there... enjoy your 5d MKII, hopefully I'll have one in the near future. :)
