this is my first decent moon shot. Taken about an hour ago.

this is stunning! i have an eos 400d too, but with my 70-300mm i couldn't get such a sharp shot. which lens did you use?

Thanks Julius although compaired to others here i dont think it is that good:lol:

I actually used the Walimex cheapo lens, not sure on the focal length but i think it was at around 650mm. This is an analog lens ie. set the camera up with a normal lens and then change to the walimex.

Setup was 1/320 sec, f8.0, ISO 100 as calculated here http://www.adidap.com …moon-exposure-calculator/ (external link) , hand held resting on my balcony.

You should still get some good images with the Sigma 70-300, although not so close. i have some at home and will add tonight as full uncropped images for a comparison. The above shot is slightly cropped.

@zewa you should get some good shots with the 100-400
