if youre refering to the border with white outline, I have software called Kubota that I use for that

the actual editing of the image has this thickness in the composition, it looks great

Thanks again, to get close to that look, try this software
Topaz Adjust if you have photoshop its a pluggin, its really cheap $39.95 and its easy to use and very versatile, you can go crazy with it or just add a boost, I use it quite a bit and love it, tweak a shot then convert to b&w and tweak in photoshop, you'll be there
