I don't understand why when I viewed my pictures on Adobe Photoshop CS3, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and on Firebox browser, they are in different colours.

I am using Sony laptop and calibrate using Spyder2express.

Please help, thanks in advance. :o

I'll let it stand for a while yet ;)

From wikipedia:

(Can anybody using XP confirm this? I thought it wasn't color managed?)

Okay.
FF2 is not color managed. FF3 can be, if you set it that way.
In either case, PS is color manged, the other programs may or may not be. You should not get three different images in any case.

If all are color manged, all should show the same. If two are not color managed, those two should show the same...

So I'm curious to how this was solved...

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer might possibly be color-managed if someone where to use this program I think -- Microsoft Color Control Panel (external link)

For those who like to use P&F Viewer, might be worth a try. ?

Somebody got windows XP by chance?
Then do me a favour, and download the four images that make up the first image on this page (external link), and open them in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

Then we all know ;)

Thanks.

In that case, the above screenshot *should* display the image identical in PS and Windows Picture & Fax viewer...

Thanks for the confirmation that it supports ICC version 2 profiles only.

Now, if the OP returns, we can try and find out why the screenshot shows 3 different images ;)

I'm running XP SP2 on my desktop system at home, I can try viewing that picture and print screening the results when I get home. Though I've already seen on my system that Windows Picture viewer is not color managing.
