Hmm... guess Im lucky. Driving out of the carpark at the Dep. of Transport office over this side of town there is just a sign saying 'give way to pedestrians'.

It's the same at The Entrance RTA.

There is a Stop sign at the exit of the car park and a solid white line before the footpath. Most people fail to stop at the white line and only stop at the curb of the road and then can't understand why they failed.

Wardie

I'd be arguing the Car Park wasn't a designated roadway but private property and as such the Stop Sign was not legally enforceable.

Best not to argue with the ones who make up the rules and place the signs ;)

Yes but the road rules state you must stop before crossing the footpath and again before entering the road. Doesn't matter if there is a sign, line or bland concrete nothingness.

Well, the upside of not having my computer working is that I'm finally getting to do exciting things ... laundry, cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, sorting the mail, tidying the office...

I know, I know, you all want my life :D

Howdy all. What a day! Spent it driving to Lidcombe in a truck to pick up **** from some RSL that's closing. (It was like a huge garage sale run by grays. lol). Then cleaning out a few rooms at our club to dump at the tip. We think we may have ruined the tip's crusher thing though. We forgot you couldn't throw metal in the main area, and we ended up throwing in a whole lot of handrail that was cut up. Not gonna be a fun night for them. lol

Back to clean health now though. God damn I hate the tip!

Sounds like an industrious day for you then.
Far better than me sitting on my hefty backside tapping at the computer with ever possible risk of being afflicted with RSI!
