lol, nah, I have a roof, though walls would be handy....

Ah huh......

Nail up some tin walls and call it a shed. If I hadn't have met my missus I would have bought a plot, built a shed and gone all Burt Munro.

Righty. Well, I included no prints in my low, low price of about -$6000 after gear purchases (what a great excuse that was!) and airfares :-)

:D It's hard charging family.

Maybe 6 x 4 = $6.00
8 x 10 = $14.00

I honestly don't know, having never been in the situation of selling prints mate.

Thanks mate, appreciated. I'm no expert wedding photographer, that's for sure!

Mate, you did a top job for your first. I've seen a lot worse. I'm sure that they'll love them.

That he is. I saw him live in Perth a few years ago and he wasn't stellar (bass player looked totally stoned), but his recorded stuff is brilliant.

Never seen him live, shame you had the bad experience.

Love his version of Avril's "complicated", entitled Constipated.

That looks like an Australian native marsupial rat which is NO relation to the common sewer rat.
I think their protected because their endangered.

That's about what I was thinking too. Thanks. (More than happy to get more input from others :-)

Thanks, but I wanted to be perfect, see? :-)

He was OK, just not worth the $80 or whatever it was.

"Trigger happy" would be one of my favourites, along with "Which Backstreet Boy is gay" :-)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

In my experience, the 100-400 is a lens you REALLY have to want for it to work. It's pretty slow, and it's a dust pump, but it can give great images in the right situations. (I borrowed one, and it wasn't for mine.)

hmmm... kewl, so what do people use in the range beyond 200 without spending $190820980239480329 on 'primes'
and dust dump - meaning?

I've got a Sigma 120-300/2.8, and my BIL has a Sigma 100-300/4, and we're both very happy with them.

'Dust pump' means it sucks dust into the lens like you wouldn't believe.

It can produce terrific images, don't get me wrong, but you have to get used to it and work around its quirks.

1.4x or 2x teleconverter?
Or stack them, for even more range :) at the expense of softness and smaller aperture.

I hate the 100-400 i rented, infact i will be asking for atleast a partial refund as it produced images that didnt show any form of sharpness untill stoped down to atleast f9 at 100mm and f10+ at 400mm my 300 f2.8 + 2xTC + 1.4xTC was sharp at f6.3 (Considering Wide Open for the lens at that combo is f8 but reports at f5.6) i think its well within my rights to expect some compensation...

400mm f5.6L is what I use. I bought mine when the dollar was high from B&H - all up it was about $1300 - the AF is lightning fast and the IQ is excellent.

My 100-400 is an excellent one - as sharp as any 400mm prime I have tested it against.

It practically lived on the 5D until I got the 1D3. I use it regularly (every weekend) and have absolutely no dust problems with it (or the 5D)

The AF is a bit slower than the 400 prime - but I expected that.

Based on the experience he had with mine (shooting aircraft at a country airshow) Wardie bought one, too.

I am the proud owner of the Peleng 8mm Fisheye lens
