The 1DII seems to be a winnah. So is the 24-105 that also arrived today (new backup / second shooter lens). A couple of random samples from the only obliging subjects available at the time ...

Cute photos :)
How do you PP them?

bit of a photoshop session tonight on the laptop... really need to get a USB mouse... trackpad sucks in photoshop LOL

Nah, ditch the mouse entirely - tablet is the way to go for photoshop.

Evening folks, did something a little slack this afternoon. I was shooting some street scenes at Martin Place (where Channel 7 is) with the 70-200 - some girl came upto me with that 'pedo' look and said:

"Hey Mister, who are you waiting for?"

I looked towards the 7 entrance and said "Britney Spears"

Before I knew it, she began calling all her friends to come down since "Britney's cummin' out soon!" I bolted before things became ugly.

What kinda price would you be looking for angus? I'm not familiar with the pricing for these....

from what I have seen $1800ish but not sure yet. Might not sell it, value for money do people think a new 5D original at $2600 is better then mkii at $4000 plus a wait

Any ideas where I would find an original these days????

You eeediot. Did you know while you were gone, DDP were flocking off brand new 5Ds for $2299 for about two weeks..

I was tempted, very tempted. But unfortunately, my lottery numbers that week didn't deliver the goods.

A few days ago, DDP were clearing 5D's for $2299.

Not sure I can be bothered asking why you want one, though.

That is quite hilarious... LOL.

Luke - Im surprised you picked up a 24-105... how much use would you really have for it? Wouldn't you typically have a 70-200 and a prime equipped on the two cameras?
