ok.. so in the process of paying for something at ddp by direct deposit.

I have the BSB and Account number but like what is their account name? above these two details it says Commonwealth Bank - Martin Place, Sydney..

I'm guessing I should just put Discount Digital Photographics correct?

I'd say that would work - it's the BSB and Account number that will direct the money to the right place.

Depending on the bank, they could bounce your payment and charge you a fee - I remember making a payment from a bank which shall not be named (CBA) to a company with an ampersand (& symbol) in their name, which internet banking would not allow - I substituted the & with "and" and the payment bounced with a $2.50 fee.

It took three phone calls and two escalations to get my fee back  and the stupid thing was, the account that I was sending to, was a CBA account as well

I would have thought that XP would have done the whole plug and play bit, unless firewire drivers needs to be installed manually. Did the drive not come with any driver software? Can you not go to the manufacturers website and download drivers?

What model is it? This page will probably lead you to drivers: http://www.acomdata.com/hdp/fs.html (external link)
