Evening Jim, wasn't sure if you would have come across that post seeing that it was oh so long ago. :P
Question is, how do you avoid blowing out the red? I presume normal techniques of avoiding highlights do the same job?
Finally, got to have a play with my Manning Bar shots.
Thoughts?

It works the same, just expose to the right according to the red channel of the RGB histogram.
I like the shot, I'd try cropping it a bit to remove some of the space to the top to make the subject a little larger in the frame 



More you learn the more you can forget.
