I always use RR for insurance ... you never know if you'll find a "deal" when it's time to replace stuff ;) The few extra dollars this might mean for your premium is well worth it in my experience.

I want to order some Cybersyncs but with the low Aussie dollar, the 10% international surcharge and exhorbitant postage...it's getting very pricey.

I have worked out that it's cheaper by about $35AUD a set to buy three lots.

If you are interested, please PM me.

Price will be for one trigger and two receivers.

Won't be home until 4pm so if I'm a bit slow to answer, that's why.

Love the colors in those shots Damo...very cool photos!

did you actually take your gear in to be valued, or just provide a list for replacement value?

Provided a list, based on online prices at D-D-P.

I sent the insurance company both equipment schedules - one based on new replacement, one based on secondhand estimates.

I also asked, in the case of a claim, whether I can request to be paid out in cash, if the insured value is greater than replacement cost.

Premium is mostly based on the total value of gear. Or mine is, at least.

yes i understand that but im sure the total premium in the end isn't going to double because your prices were 10% extra..

im with Kristin.

Because premium is linked with insured value - I sent them both to see what the difference is.

Insurance is all based on risk, I don't intend on claiming... but we'll see if it's worthwhile to get an extra $3K of policy.

Heh, I was just answering your question - I'm in total agreeance with Kristin as stated above.
