Since going to them is a deliberate act to seek out lens samples (or at least that's the idea)?

I'm just thinking that unless we're on the prowl for new optics, we don't really need to see Lens Archive threads showing up in New Posts. I have the same thought process those threads as I'm sure the mods & admins do about the Buy/Sell/Services section.

Anyone agree? Disagree?

I'm frequently using the "New Posts" search to keep an eye on things. I don't see that Archive Lens posts come up with huge regularity (enough to interrupt me looking for misplaced/spam/problem posts cropping up).

Disagree..... Phewww

As Pete I also use new posts most of the time and don't really see the lens archive threads pop up often enough to want changes to the forum to exclude them. One thing is to exclude forums from the new posts list, that is something that can be done administratively but single threads would require modification of the forum software.

What relief! The universe is now back in alignment!

You know I started this thread specifically for this reason. I couldn't bear the thought of the entire universe being out of kilter because of us.
