How important is it that my reflector stand can pivot?

I just got a reflector stand from my local camera store, the guy said it would work fine, it holds the reflector great but its always going to be flat. Then my wife said what if you want to angle it? i was like i originally planned to get one that i could angle off B&H photo but theyre always on holiday!! but anyway i was wondering how important it is that the stand can be angled?

JMO, but I think you want to be able to gimble the reflector to whatever angle is necessary.

Also, it should be able to hold the reflector above and/or below itself so that a reflector can become a flag (or you can mount a flag) if necessary.

As important as you want it to be. I'm assuming you are thinking about high or low shots being the stand will always turn. I think it will work fine as long as you learn to work with what you have. You can always change the camera and subject position in relation to the reflector.

For me it would be quite important... what about when you want to wedge it under someone's face for a tight headshot etc.?
