I just got my girlfriend an SLR for Christmas and I am looking for a decent pink camera bag, other than the Kata DPS.
Any suggestions?

If I come off as rude, don't take it personally. I strongly believe in harsh criticism; sugar coating things does not help one improve.

Picking a bag is harder then choosing a camera. So many choices and for me, I really have to see it first hand to make the choice. But this list is great, very generous of you to do Snails.

I reviewed my Lowepro Flipside 400 AW on my Blog. LINK (external link)
Feel free to add it to the list or just check it out. Many photos, here's one:

^^^
Fantastic review with plenty of great pics - which I really like - they are great product shots ! Is that natural lighting or was flash used ?

When I first heard of this bag I really wanted to get it but then some of the reviews I read talked about the way the bag hangs when you start opening it which discouraged me.

On another note - great to see a S3 user progressing up to a 5D :)

thanks. Yeah, I started with the S3, and still love it. I learned the principles of photography on it.
For the product shots, I used 1 Alien Bee 800 camera left with a shoot-through umbrella, and 1 430EX with a silver umbrella camera right. 5D on a tripod and white seamless paper on a table.
If you want a comfortable backpack with lots of room, I'd suggest the flipside 400.
Edit: How did you know I use a S3?

Snails, would it be possible to have a sub-heading for custom bag reviews/builds? There are quite a few threads about this on the forum, and there are lots of people who say they have custom camera bags but not many post pictures of the bag itself/or of the build, and im sure if people started doing this it would help others alot.

Cheers
Rowan

If the owners of those threads/bags send me links, I will add a section as appropriate.

This site has great pictures of a multitude of bags:

Text is in German but the pics alone are valuable.
