We had an amazing full moon here tonight.

I had my laptop on the porch - and forum pages open, trying different settings and techniques.

I don't have the proper lens to capture near as much detail as I would like.

Any CC much appreciated.
Clare

The lighter one looks better to me, too.

Yep, the first one.

I shot the moon tonight also in Washington State, USA. Trying to figure out how to make it better. Here's a link for comparison to your moon: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=585458

Definitely the first, but I like the second too...almost look concave! :)

What setup, and what are the EXIF details? Looks incredibly sharp to me.

Thank you all so much.
I wanted to post one on my Pbase site and couldn't decide.

Thanks to all of you that posted settings that helped me get a decent image.
I was surprised that I didn't need a longer shutter speed to capture something so far away... :)

And MLU? Although in all honesty, at 1/500 it's not going to be that touchy to movement.
